Pack seat repairs/work

Post by Travis Bubenik »

Is there anyone/any company out there doing repairs/work on pack seats? I don't see the usual makers advertise anything like that but you never know. I've got a seat I really like but just want to replace/upgrade the cushion (far beyond my DIY capabilities.) Thanks for any leads...

Have you talked to any local upholstery repair shops? They should be able to replace the foam and covering material.

Agreed. A local shop replaced the foam and naugahyde cover on my ancient ACE pac-a-seat at a very reasonable price.

Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.

Is it a Steelers Choice? Does it have a back? If not, you might contact Dan at Steelers Choice and see if you can just send him the seat cushion to recover if the rest of the box is OK. If it doesn't have a back, it shouldn't be too difficult to unbolt it. If it's a SC then you'd have the original type covering and color.

I just took a destroyed pack seat to an upholstery repair place and they made it better than new. It was about $100

Nice - Bob could you share or message me who you went to? I don’t think an upholstery shop exists here in Big Bend country but I’m Austin often enough.

I need legs for my steel rider seat. But upon talking with the folks that build them, it might cost as must as getting a new seat....I just need legs.
