Hello out there,
This is my first post and I'm new to this whole thing so go easy on me! I started on an old Mulit-Kord and recently upgraded to Derby D-10, which I am loving but I'm having an issue with the B pedal. When I release the B pedal, the 8th string doesn't fully return to pitch and stays a bit sharp. I attached a picture. I noticed there are springs that assist the other pedals, but not the A and B pedals. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Any suggestions or advice would be welcome and appreciated.
Thank you,
Tony

Re: Issue With B Pedal Not Fully Returning to Pitch
From the picture, There is pedal return spring missing on the Left pedal in picture.
The 2nd pedal B pedal, Is missing its pedal return spring too. And the little screw eye, Which anchors the spring to the body, Is missing.
The weight of the pedal could be affecting the 8th string return, If there is no free play in the linkage, When the 8th string returns. Replacing the spring and anchor screw, May cure the problem. At least rule it out, Then look for something else causing the problem.
Should be able to find 2 springs and screw eye at Ace Hardware, Busy Beaver or any good hardware store.
Good Luck finding problem and cure. Happy Steelin.
