Sho Bud Amp History???

I have the lucky opportunity to purchase a (1970s?) 115 Sho Bud for a decent price. I'm pulling the trigger because I've only ever seen Redd Volkaert using a 12" and of course he sounds incredible through it!

What's the history of these amps? I really can't find much on the internet. I've been searching Gretsch catalogs trying to find info since apparently they were made in their factories.
