Happy to finally join the Clinesmith Club!

Post by Mark Nason »

I’ve wanted one of Todd Clinesmith’s instruments for years now and I’ve finally got one! It’s a 2023 10 string Joaquin lap steel I bought from a forum member here.

Can I PLAY 10 strings? No, but there’s no time like the present to learn!

Congratulations Mark. She’s a beauty. I’m fortunate to be the undeserving owner of three Clinesmiths (Joaquin, frypan, and D8 console… and one bar). We are lucky to have such a craftsman in our midst.

Congrats and welcome to the club!

I have had a few of Todd Clinesmith’s creations over the years, but the two that I still have and play daily are everything to me. Many thousands of hours logged on both of those beauties. My walnut Joaquin easily has 10k and my cast aluminum Joaquin is getting close!

Good luck with that!
