Help dissassemble Goodrich 122 Pedal

Post by Jack Kilbride »

Hey, I need to replace to the pot in the above pedal. Trouble is, the pot is mounted in an entirely different way, so I doubt I could change it without separating the top half with the tread from the base. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Thank you

If it's like the 120, you can remove the axle and unhook the spring. After you remove the bottom plate you should see a set screw that can be loosened and the axle can be pushed out or driven out with a punch.

The spring is the booger, both unhooking and hooking. Do this first before removing the axle if you can. Hard to get to. You'd need a pick set or one with a crook for this as it's pretty strong. Be careful not to stretch it out of shape or the pedal won't have the correct resistance.
