For the best sound which speaker size is best 12” or 15”.
It’s not the brand name that interests me and it’s only on the E9 neck not the C6 neck. Assuming you can EQ tone, different Steels and pickups, amp’s (tubes etc)…what size would you select and your reasoning for doing so.

I have 2 12s in a stereo config and I've also used it a time or 2 in mono but I just don't like a single but I do play a lot of C6. Many players do employ 12's though.
A 12 in. speaker has a tighter sound with less lows in most cases depending on the driver of course
Probably a BW 1203-4, 1201-8, JBL K120 or maybe some of the newer neo mag 12s would fit the bill for you and work nicely for E9 playing.
