Post by David Wisson »

Hi All been busy laying Concrete. Finally put this one to bed. It put me to bed many a night. My Wife would find me asleep in the music room. Dave :D https://soundcloud.com/user-627782904/skylark

Hi Earnest Thank you glad you liked it. I remember watching the Linda Ronstadt/ Nelson Riddle video years ago and came across it on youtube. Dave :)

Hi Jim It is a classic song. Trouble is with me I get half way through a song and start thinking of the next one which tends to drag out the process. Along with laying three tons of Concrete. Glad you liked it Dave :)

Hello David,

that's a beautiful one.
Where did you find this one?
I couldn't even find the song on google.

Hi Detlef Thank you Glad you liked it. Here's the link to Linda Ronstadt's version. It's a Hoagy Carmichael song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpOpVuIJv-k The made the backing track with Band In A Box. Dave :) The Steel is a Home made 12 string Uni 8 pedals 5 standard knee levers and one that is a forward moving lever. Dave :D

Hi Larry Thank you. I do love the old smooth classics. C6th is still a mystery to me so have to find where the chords are hiding. This song used both tunings being a Uni. It's taken quite awhile to get used to using all of the pedals and levers instead of thinking of it as two separate tunings. Wish I had started on a Uni years ago. Dave :D

Hi Andy Thank you. Can't wait until I retire just over 6 months to go. My wife retires a month later which means I get the music room all to myself as she works from home. I'm stuck in one corner while she spreads out over the lovely studio desk I built about three years ago and haven't used yet. I can then play to my hearts content Bliss! Dave :D

Hi Jason Thank you. I have started to lay down the backing track for the next song. but it's on hold again as I have another load of Concrete to lay over the weekend. I know what I would prefer to be doing! Dave :D
