Thoughts on the Kemper Profiler Player
I was wondering if the existing profiles would work on the Kemper Profiler Player for PSG. Has anyone used it live?

I plan to do the same. I use the Rack mount version with a remote for PSG, guitars, fiddle, etc. and bought the Player for small gigs, rehearsals, jam sessions.Danny Naccarato wrote:After working out the bugs in the beta releases, they just released the Lvl II and Lvl III upgrades, which brings into the Player all the effects etc as the other Kempers as well as up to 8 effects at a time. I’m going to upgrade mine now that the stable release is out.
It's great for that, but a PITA to tweak live and/or create rigs on, and without the upgrade it was difficult to copy rigs from the full version.
Other than that, I love the Player for "throw and go" gigs and jams!

I love my Kemper Player, and it sounds great but originally didn't have all the FX and a few emulations that the Profiler has.
I use the Player for jams, rehearsals, and small "throw and go" gigs.
I'll be doing the upgrades so I can copy rigs from the rack mount Profiler to the Player easily, and not lose any capabilities.

John - sorry for the slow response to your question.John Dowden wrote:Gerald, which amp captures do you use when you're using your fiddle through it?
I'll be in the studio tomorrow evening for band practice, where I'll be able to see what amps, FX, etc. I'm using on my Kemper Profler rack unit for violins.
I'm not very proficient at using the iPad version of Rig Manager with the Kemper Player, but I basically copied the rigs from my rack unit and tweaked them, so I'll see what I'm using. I have a couple - one for a 5-string electric violin, and one for a regular four string, with different FX for some songs.
I do know that they were derived from a rig package I purchased from Selah Sounds.
I'll let you know when I've looked at it.
FWIW, I'll be upgrading the software in the Player so I can use the same FX, rigs, etc. without having to redo rigs to fit the architecture on the Player and substitute some of the FX.
Take care - I'll be in touch.
