Hey All. I have a Carter starter which I know is obviously a beginners deal so it’s not gonna be as smooth as the top dollar guitar.
Issue I’m having is with the LKR lever. I have to push more than twice as far as any other lever. There is a initial push that is just slack catching up with the finger, a second minimal push, which is about the same as my LKL distance, then another push that is probably more than both of the initial pushes combined to fully drop that E to an Eb. Is this common with this guitar? Or is there any way to fix it. I know this guitar isn’t as customizable as some others. But want to see if I have any options!
Thanks!
Jeff

Re: Carter Starter 3x4 LKR Lever
Hi Jeff, it's been a while since I've seen a Starter but curious if you have tried a different hole in the bellcrank to see if you are able to shorten things up and adjust the tuning and stop accordingly? From what you are saying it seems as though the stop may also be set too far back and the tuning nut backed off or the rod is perhaps too long and not intended for that pull and needs to be replaced or even just shortened to make it function properly.
